Selina, a lethal self-serving vampire, returns to a remote farmstead to destroy the last vestiges of her own troubling humanity and to capture her long abandoned, now teenage human son, Joel, to help cure her infected vampire blood. Unable and finally unwilling to harvest her 'cure' and pursued by a ruthless band of hunters lead by the boys father, Ray, she finds herself on the run with Joel, forced to make choices that will put her on a bloody journey back to her own humanity and ultimately her own redemption and salvation.
