It's a triangular love story. Two girls named Malati, Debi and a boy Madhu, they lived in the same village. Malati was the daughter of a Jamidar. Debi fell in love with Madhu but Madhu thought she was a good friend of him. But Madhu didn't know that Malati was in love with him because he knew her social status, when he knew it, Madhu also fell in love. When Debi knew that they loved each other, she kept herself aside. On the other side Malati's father arranged her marriage with a boy named Rajesh who was criminal but he didn't know and Madhu did not agree to marry him. At the end of the story when Rajesh tried to kill Madhu, Debi killed him and sacrificed her life for their love.
