This is a true story of a freed slave that is recruited by General Sherman army to end the war of the rebellion. Solomon is first in the pioneer corps, enabling the troops to march about 10 miles a day through Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina until Goldsboro NC where they took the oath of Army as volunteers in US Army. As a black regiment they march proudly down Pennsylvania Ave to the White House pass the President of the United States.
