Meet Maggie. Meet Stephen. Two love lorn twenty-somethings who find each other on a popular Internet dating site. Does it matter that Stephen works for the site that brought the two of them together? Or that he knowingly manipulates the site to create a perfect match? As you can guess, it gets complicated. PerfectMatch is a quirky 21st century romantic comedy that realizes that as our technology evolves, the ease with which we find our soulmate does not.

Trailers "PerfectMatch (2012)"

While principal photography occurred in the town of Marietta, Ohio, a week of reshoots and additional scenes were done in Omaha, Nebraska in order to expand the films visual scope and lend it a more urban feel. Most of the cast and crew were brought back for this additional shoot, completed almost a year to the day after the wrap of principal photography.

During the last week of principal photography, due to a mishap with a golf cart, the filmmakers were revoked access to one of their primary locations and were forced to complete the filming of the scenes intended to be at a prominent local college at a local community college.

Three days prior to principal photography, Natalie Blair, who was originally cast as Maggie, had to drop out of the film, forcing the filmmakers to find a new lead actress for the role. Giselle Brasseur was found in the nick of time, she had a single Skype audition with the director and she was cast in the film.

Producer/actor, Mark Booker (Adrian) worked with director Chad Eddy on a short film and afterwards asked him to write a romantic comedy for Mark's nascent production company, General Films. That script, after many incarnations, became PerfectMatch.

The original title of the film was "Her Name Is Me," but was changed to PerfectMatch after the producers landed a co-marketing and product-placement deal with the actual website, PerfectMatch.
