In the Round: A Conversation with John McNaughton (2016)

    *** 1/2 (out of 4)

This is an extremely entertaining interview with director John McNaughton who gets to discuss his film HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER as well as a few others from his career. He starts off talking about how he got into the business and then how this led to HERNY. From here he talks about the production of that film and then he branches off into other pictures like MAD DOG AND GLORY and WILD THINGS. Fans of the director will certainly enjoy this interview as we get all sorts of great stories and I liked how it just came across as a nice sit down discussion. The director tells some familiar stories that most fans of HENRY probably already know but to me the most fascinating thing here are the stories dealing with MAD DOG AND GLORY and a weird theory on why it's not a comedy.
