I remember seeing the first Camp Blood years ago. It wasn't great but it as at least watchable. I sat down watching Camp Blood four with really low expectations especially when I found out that they shot part four and five back to back in less than two weeks.

The movie starts off with what I will guess was the ending of part three only this time they put a super 8 filter on while dumping it on to the front of the film. Next is a random scene with a guy and girl getting it on in a tent and then getting killed. We are then forced to watch one of the main actresses walk around the town for three to four minutes then walk into what looks like someone's house that is dressed up to be a used CD music shop. We are now forced to watch her walk around picking up random items and looking at the bottom of it for the price.

We then get to watch two of the other female cast members doing their hair and make-up for close to five minutes. Which to be honest they don't look any different from where they started.

Then we get to see the gang all together go up to the camp but someone forgot to adjust the exposure of the DSLR camera so everything is way over exposed including the scene in a gas station.

We get to watch the masked killer walk around the forest for two or three minutes.

They all get back into their vehicles and then we watch about ten more minutes of footage from the previous movie with the same bad super 8 filter over it. After that we get to see the masked killer walk around for another minute.

From there I gave up on the movie. I support all levels of horror. I don't care if it cost fifty dollars or fifty million dollars but there needs to be something redeeming in the movie. The audio was horrible that have the time you couldn't really hear the actors that well. The movie's soundtrack is comprised of royalty free music with someone playing a keyboard. I will give them credit for getting a couple of real songs in the movie.

Basically no lighting and as I mentioned before they forgot to set the exposure of the DSLR for some of the film so everyone is washed out. The script is bad even for no budget horror. The acting is on the same level of all the other no budget horror so I can't complain about it.

Overall what looks like it should have been a bad short was stretched out to feature length with everything that I mentioned above. I would only suggest this movie to the friends and family of the cast and crew and even then I feel sorry that you're going to be wasting your time watching this and then lying about how good it is.

To recap the first 3 films: Clown killer at a camp. Documentary of clown killer at camp, interrupted by a clown killer. Reality show at camp with clown killer. I don't know why they didn't recap them for you.

If you are a real fan of this series (and no one is) they changed the name of the camp from "Camp Blackwood" to "Camp Black Tree." Apparently the director wasn't a big fan either. Filmed in wonderful Lancaster Co. Nebraska, some young adults head up to Stuart for a concert. Perhaps that was meant to be a local joke as Stuart has a population of 590. Anyway, they stop at Camp Blood, and we realize this is the first half of a film.

The bulk of the killings in this film are replays from the older films. When they are not flashing back to this we get to watch Raven (Schuylar Craig) brush her hair, walk, put on make-up. browse through a second hand store, and feed her cat. That takes up nearly half the film. Okay she slept with the director to get her part...we get it.

Not a good film in any sense of the word.

    Guide: F-word, sex and nudity.

Dustin Ferguson truly is this generation's Nick Millard. His films are dull, aimless, horrendously shot, pitifully edited and padded out to extreme lengths with stock footage from more impressive films. The difference is that while Millard used footage from his own films, Ferguson decides to ransack the work of real filmmakers like Mark Polonia and Dennis Devine.

This is the fourth in the Camp Blood series. While the previous instalments were imperfect but effectively fun low budget slasher movies, this one is a dismal, dreary affair with next to no plot, non-existent pacing and quite possibly the single worst villain ever committed to celluloid.

The only reason I give it two stars is because they play a really kick ass power metal song in the film and over the end credits. It's too good for this abysmal pile or garbage.

Wanna know the worst part? It's actually the best film I've seen from Ferguson. Let that sink in.

CAMP BLOOD 4 is another in the interminable shot-on-video slasher franchise. The video cover is more interesting than the film itself. A bunch of college kids find themselves lost in the woods where they're stalked and slashed by the usual mask-wearing maniac. It's a by the numbers affair from beginning to end, featuring the odd sloppy gore sequence and nothing else. The running time clocks in at around an hour and the whole of the climax takes place in the dark so that you can see very little. It's a blessing in disguise, really.

My vote is 0 out of 10. Utter rubbish. This was a High School project, right? Surely it was. I can think of no other reason why it was so brutally awful and that's being kind. I believe this was filmed in the space of a week or so and to be frank about it, i'm amazed it was actually that long a period of time. It has a feel of a Film that was rushed through in 24 hours, and i'm including editing in that time frame and any travel time. How anyone could actually have any pride in this production is beyond me, it is as my summary states the worst film i have ever watched and i now feel i should apologise to the cast and crew of other films i've ripped into over the years. You'll notice i haven't even touched on the plot or any major aspect of the film and that should be warning enough for anyone else to stay the f*** away from this steaming pile of Dog s***e.
