Filthy Frank ensembles all of our favourite characters in one of his best short films to date.

Expanding on the universe of the 1982 classic "E.T. the Extra- Terrestrial", George Miller tells the story of E.T's return to Earth. Upon befriending an autistic boy, he seeks to indulge in many human pleasures.

Throughout the story, we see incredible character development. Not only does E.T. yearn to experience human life in its fullest, he explores many dark sides of human nature, ultimately leading him to a downward spiral of sinful pleasure. This resonates strongly with the audience, showcasing many of the desires we so often succumbed to. Furthermore, a deep and forbidden romance persists throughout the story, adding a further element to the mysterious relationship between the protagonists.

This short film showcases a variety of impressive film techniques, including powerful montages, harsh scene transitions and the incredible backdrops. Additionally, an original soundtrack beautifully enhances the depth of the character's emotions.

Overall, E.T. 2 showcases Filthy Franks perfect mix of comedy, sci- fi, action and romance, carefully intertwined into the many darker themes including drug abuse and mental disabilities.

The story of the protagonist, Frank, a severely mentally challenged young man finding his first friend in the form of an alien is one of the most moving stories I've seen in a long time. Their growing bond is heartwarmingly intertwined with their very different lives, remember to have a box of tissues handy before watching.

In this masterfully crafted film, especially with its budget, it covers the meaning of existence, friendship, loss, growing up and the descent of two friends down dark paths, with some very moving narratives within. Moreover, Brock Lee is easily an amazing supporting actor.

I recommend 10/10, please watch ASAP, you will not be disappointed.

I believe that this film is the best story ever told on film, and I'm about to tell you why.

I was so impressed with how every single subplot was given a great deal of respect and attention from the director. The acting was world-class. The twists were unexpected, an although this film had a familiar feel, it wasn't even slightly pretentious or clichéd, it was original. The cinematography was grand and expressive. It gave a real impression of the sheer magnitude of this daunting prison.

But the one thing which makes ET 2 stand above all other films, is the attention given to the story. The film depends on the story and the way in which it unravels. It's a powerful, poignant, thought-provoking, challenging film like no other. If Andy were to comment on this film, I think he might say: "Get busy watching, or get busy dying." Take his advice.

'E.T.2' is a masterpiece in every sense of the word. This highly experimental short film uses cinematography, editing, sound design and lighting in ways never before seen in cinema. The film looks better than most current Hollywood blockbusters, even tough it was made on a tight budget. I a, however, most impressed by the acting. The lead roles star iOS 8 and Joji, who pull off a wonderful job. I honestly haven't seen such amazing acting skills since masterpieces like Wheeler Dealers, Zaat or DB: Evolution. The writing is extremely clever, with some of the most convincing emotional scenes I've ever seen. But perhaps the most interesting aspect of the entire short film is the brilliant use of broccoli as metaphor for depression. Soon after the alien lands on earth and befriends Frank, broccoli can be seen. This represents the beginning of depression, which only get's worse and worse every time the broccoli can be seen. Another brilliant part of the short is when the alien tries to communicate with his fellow friends, which ends in a fight. This shows how the alien get's more and more detached from the rest of the world, as he slowly falls into depression. This short film managed to make me smile, cry and think. Truly a one of a kind masterpiece.

A post modernist take on the age old tale of a man who finds cocaine addicted alien, and in doing so finds himself. The opening scene, that of a man with a screaming in existential agony. sets the tone for the rest of this masterpiece.

The movie closely mimics the classical allegory of Icarus and does it in a such fine strokes that it would put the ancient Greeks to shame were they alive today.

The alien becomes engulfed in human decadence in the futile quest for meaning, he feels the growing pains of a an intelligent beast that finally realizes the futility of existence. Unlike Camus' take on existentialism, -spoilers- the movie maker posits that suicide is the answer.

I was blown away by the superb plot line, one so intricately complex, yet one with a universal message, unwavering between different worlds. It is this universality that brilliantly conveys the story of an extraterrestrial who falls victim to a cocaine addiction, yet not in a glaringly harsh light. The varying perspectives from which one can interpret the ultimate morality of the ET's actions are the crux of this masterpiece.

I would highly recommend to all viewers who have either missed or continue to miss the era of Papa Franku, and his dominion over the masterfully executed intellectual comedy. 10/10

I love this movie. It helped me throw hard times of life by reminding me that true friendship and love DOES exist and that you need to find it. Its not easy being alone and this movie and Francis epic performance does capture the feeling of loneliness and the happiness of finding a friend that you can do stuff together and snort cocaine. The ending was dark and unpleasant to watch but in the end of the day that's life. I hope we will get to see E.T.3 before i die because i really want to introduce my kids to the movies. The movie left me in tears in the end of the movie and i really hope that everyone reading this review will give this movie a shot cause its really something to get the feeling that this film delivers. Although i didn't like E.T.1 that much E.T.2 is a strong comeback to a legendary movie that many people grew up watching.
