Diwali is the self-revealing story of a young Indian-American man who discovers his cultural identity as he attempts to win the love of a beautiful Indian girl. It's a romantic comedy that explores love's ability to illuminate truth and inspire change. The main character, Sanjay, is a typical college student without a care in the world. But everything changes when he meets Sejal, a foreign exchange student from India. His journey begins as he does whatever he can to convince Sejal to like him. But as he pretends to be someone he's not, he begins to realize who he really is and who he longs to be. When Sejal invites Sanjay to a Diwali festival, one of the biggest Indian holidays, Sanjay has no choice but to go. And of course that's when everything begins to unravel.
