Short summary

As tensions rise between S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Inhumans, Skye finds herself torn between the groups; Coulson reveals a secret.

The post-it on Sam Koenig's mirror says: "CALL YOUR SISTER!!!"

Helicarrier 64, which is featured here is the same one that appeared in Tasujad (2012) and Tasujad: Ultroni ajastu (2015).

This episode takes place after the events of Tasujad: Ultroni ajastu (2015).

Alicia Vela-Bailey plays the Inhuman called Alisha. She has also served as Adrianne Palicki's stunt double since Palicki joined the cast.

The final exchange between Gonzalez and Jiaying illustrates two competing philosophies- government control for perceived safety as espoused by Gonzalez vs individual freedom from intrusive government as espoused by Jiaying. In the Marvel universe, a similar discussion was seen in Kapten Ameerika: Talvesõdalane (2014) when Captain America told Director Fury the helicarriers were like holding a gun at everyone on Earth and calling it protection and that it wasn't freedom, but instead fear. While he exists in a different universe, a similar scenario was seen near the end of Terasmees (2013) when Superman destroyed a government surveillance drone.

The portal stone left behind by the Kree was being held on the S.H.I.E.L.D. carrier in room number 47. Item 47 is a Marvel One Shot film short about a Chitauri weapon which was left behind in New York after the battle at the end of The Avengers.

Sam is seen sleeping in Star Wars bedsheets. Both Marvel and Star Wars are Disney properties.

Sam and Billy Koenig briefly reference Call of Duty at the beginning of the episode when they mention "spawn kills" and "Black Ops".

Sam is seen sleeping in Star Wars sheets. Sam is played by Patton Oswalt, who is the narrator of The Goldbergs, voicing the character of Adam, who sleeps in Star Wars sheets.

This episode reveals where the helicarrier came from in Tasujad: Ultroni ajastu (2015).

This was a great episode to build for the season finale(s). Coulson and Gonzales appeared to have made good with each other in the last episode, and the camaraderie continues. Both team up against Hydra at first to set up Avengers and later team up to track Inhumans.

THe episode took an interesting turns for the characters Jiaying, Cal, Coulson, May and Skye. Skye has seen good on both sides and her dialogues completely show that she deeply cares about both factions. Both Coulson and May continue their transformation and share their secrets. A very interesting turn is done by Cal in this episode which is clearly going to shape his behaviour and development into a formidable character in AoS universe.

However, the most interesting turn of events is seen for Jiaying. She has been a soft, motherly character who guides various inhumans into being something more but this episode makes her more colorful character.

Awesome episode, 9/10 (marks cut for moving far too many things in 40 mins)

Great episode, with a signature AoS twist that we should have seen a mile away but didn't...I am a big fan of how far Raina's character has come, in some shows, even main characters don't get that kind of development, but on this show, the secondary ones get great arcs too. As with last episode, my only issue is the age of Ultron connection is rather on the nose, I don't hate it as an mcu fan, but I acknowledge the quality overall suffered from it.
