Sara and Hoppity! A slice of enjoyable (but somewhat odd) children's television that was originally broadcast in 1961.

Unfortuantley, out of the 52 fifteen-minute episodes that were made, only two are known to exist.

The pilot version of the first episode (dated 1960) is the only means of seeing the show. It is included as an extra on disc one of the now very rare "Space Patrol" complete box-set.

As for the second episode, according to the official 'Sara And Hoppity' website, an episode entitled 'Georgey Georgie Goes Visiting' was found in the B.F.I archive back in 2002. I contacted the website publisher and asked if there was any way of seeing the episode. Still awaiting a reply.

We may be seeing more of Sara and Hoppity soon!

Finally, the series will now seem very dated to modern viewers. It was filmed in black and white, and budget was limited. Nevertheless, it is worth watching if you are looking for something unique and enjoyable.
