Short summary
The penultimate episode of Riptide is a great send up of the ABC series Moonlighting. The Riptide guys get hired by a TV producer to "train" the two stars of his new series. The two stars follow the guys around on a case to get a little on-the-job training. H. Richard Greene turns in a great performance as Cary Russell doing his best David Addison (Bruce Willis) the whole way.
Kyle Ludwig is the exact same name used for the villain in an episode of the A-team. Stephen J. Canell produced both shows.
Contains flashbacks to earlier episodes.
The so-called "new car" of Myron is actually a modified Camaro from the seventies which was already 5 years out of production when this episode aired.
The TV show the guys are consulting strongly resembles Moonlighting.
