Slices of Life explores the themes of happiness and regrets. Our main protagonist is an elderly woman named Eva who, at the dusk of her life, is tortured by regrets and "What ifs?" The VR space is used as a representation of Eva's memories, with eight key moments of her life "floating" around the viewer who can interact with them and change them. The universal theme of dealing with regrets and creating one's own happiness provides a relevant journey for the viewers. Eva, as most women in the 21st century, tried to combine her busy career with family life. As she lies in her hospital bed and contemplates her choices, she wonders if she could have been happier by focusing more on either one of them. In a traditional "Magical Realism" twist, the viewer is invited to pick a key moment in Eva's life and change the choice she made, re-orienting her life towards either a more career-focused storyline, or a more family-orientated journey.
