Dan Conrad wrote the project as a vehicle for actor Elmer J. Santos in 2006 as part of "The Power Time Show" series of short films. Another director was attached. Greg Vorob was cast as "Greg" and Timothy J. Cox was cast as Greg's boss. The project was dropped when the director left the project and Conrad and Vorob moved on to write and produce "Overcrowded" with Dan Kowalski directing. This led to Kowalski, Vorob and Conrad collaborating for several more projects over the course of six years. When Kowalski heard of the unfinished "Greg's Guardian Angel" project he became very interested in taking the helm but by that time the original script was long gone. Conrad offered to rewrite a new shooting script but Vorob had doubts about it being as good as the original script. Vorob expressed his concerns to Dan Kowalksi, Dan Conrad and Timothy J. Cox but as luck would have it, Cox had the original script that was written six years prior. Production on "Greg's Guardian Angel" started immediately.
