Dane, a recent New York City college grad, reflects on his time working as an escort to pay his way through school. After graduation, as he prepares to accept his dream job in Seattle, he stops to see his favorite client, Harris, for one last visit, and to celebrate. Harris, a sweet man who is much older than Dane, has been paying Dane for sex and companionship throughout Dane's time in school. During dinner, Harris bestows unexpected gifts on Dane, who is uncertain how he should react, or even whether he should accept. As the reality of their last time together sets in, Dane and Harris recount their shared history, the strong feelings they have developed, and what they have come to mean to each other. They each realize, independently and in different ways, that no matter whether they choose to separate or stay together, getting off to a new start will be more difficult than either of them ever imagined.
