Short summary
The telecast was live from New York and sponsored by Stopette spray deodorant, with promotional consideration for American Airlines for guest transportation.
The laughably amateurish new ''Basketweave'' set introduced on the July 10, 1955 telecast was replaced by the time of this episode six weeks later with still another new set. Featured were fabric panels with a box-pleat effect behind the four panelists and moderator John Daly, as well as new ''walk-through'' curtains for the contestants' entrances. The curtains had larger folds and draped better than the previous ''Basketweave'' ones.
During the show's closing goodnights, moderator John Daly called Dorothy ''Flash Kilgallen'' and said she was dashing for a plane to Los Angeles, where her husband, producer Dick Kollmar, was opening the play ''Plain and Fancy'' the next evening in Los Angeles. Dorothy was seen literally leaping from her chair and hurrying off the stage as the camera panned to panelist Fred Allen for his goodnight.
