Short summary
In 2009, Tobe Hooper had plans to direct a remake to "White Zombie" with Jared Rivet as the screenwriter. The project never went into production due to unusual legal technical issues. While the original "White Zombie" is in the public domain, but "questions about uncredited source material" prevented the remake from moving forward. When Creep Creepersin started production on his remake, Tobe Hooper and Jared Rivet were not involved with development of the film.
