After this episode premiered, hundreds of NEWNOW vinyls were placed all around America (and later, japan and other countries) By the various artists that contributed to the episode in a scavenger hunt for said albums. They were also sold online briefly and scalpers reportedly sold them for ten times the original price.

This episode celebrates both New year's and the show's 5 year anniversary.

This episode was originally going to be rated TV-14-L as seen in early promos.

One post on Off the Air's Facebook page implies that part of the crew were arrested while filming the "ghille one-wheel" segment of the episode.
