Short summary

Re-Imagining Jesus retells the foundational Judeo-Christian story from the historical and spiritual perspective of The Urantia Book. It begins with a brief visit to the world of pre-Hebrew desert tribes and quickly moves into the story of Melchizedek. Melchizedek came to earth two thousand years before Jesus to foster the evolution of a monotheistic deity concept within the Hebrew tribes. This was to prepare a context within which Jesus subsequently could come to reveal the personal character of that monotheistic deity. From Melchizedek and Abraham the story moves to John the Baptist and his preparation of the immediate religious environment for the appearance of Jesus. Jesus first appears in the story at the time of his baptism by John. The film then takes the viewer to the wilderness region in Jordan where Jesus spent the forty days in the wilderness. Jesus takes over John's work as well as John's followers. He trains a core group of evangelists and begins teaching about the ...

Bravo to David Kantor for this gift! We are able to see the lands and cities that the Master actually experienced. When all the dogma is stripped away, The Urantia Book states that one of the greatest sayings of Jesus was "The kingdom of heaven is within." Yet there is a mystic connection in these images of the exact locations that David has captured for us on film. "Re-Imaging Jesus" is a remarkable, thoroughly researched achievement. Here is an example of what can be accomplished when one can persevere when isolated and triumph over insufferable difficulties even when alone.Thank you David, for your tireless and passionate work in behalf of the revelation!

Though this wonderful film by David Kantor is a little slow in places, it is beautifully photographed, and is truly inspirational. In addition to giving the viewer an exceptional view of the beauties of the Israel landscape, it gives a new insight into the life and teachings of Jesus that is both revealing and informative.

Filled with stunning cinematography, you'll see scenes and images from Jesus' life, and for those who have never been to Israel, it becomes a sort of guided tour so you can see all the areas where Jesus walked, and gain a sense of the life and times of the Son of God.

The film also gives a good description of why Jesus's teachings caused such conflict with the religious leaders of his time.

I was thrilled to find this gem of a movie exploring the story of Jesus and his ministry from the Urantia Book narrative. Having been a reader of The Urantia Book for many years, I was just waiting for someone to tell the world some of the real story of Jesus and his mission to our world...and here it is! It stands to reason that Jesus did a lot more than just what we know from Scripture. He was a divine Son of God who lived a fascinating, 30+ year-long life; he was on a mission, and this mission was thought out, planned, and executed to make the best possible presentation of the good news to the peoples of Jesus' day and all succeeding generations. Jesus lived an amazing life, and he was ever mindful of being about the Father's business; this beautiful documentary delves into just HOW he managed to mobilize and activate a new revelation of God to mankind...the real challenges he faced, the people with whom he associated, and the impact on our world of this momentous visitation from God. This may not be your traditional Jesus, but it IS the real Jesus. And if you have your doubts, no worries. Just find a copy of The Urantia Book and check out PART IV! In the meantime, Re- Imagining Jesus will entertain and delight you. The photography is beautiful, a lovely original music score accompanies, and finding out more about Jesus - a great combo. This film feels like a trip to the Holy Land, tracing the life of Jesus. But, it is rooted in present day Israel. Beautiful and realistic cinematography reveals the locations that were part of Jesus' life experience.

We learn about the religion OF Jesus--as opposed to a religion ABOUT Jesus and are confronted by the many uplifting teachings of Jesus from the pages of the Urantia Book.

I love the way the film deals with scientific and archaeological facts to reveal the teachings that have been misunderstood or under-appreciated since Jesus' life 2000 years ago.

Historians, archaeologists, and anyone interested in the factual history of Jesus' life and times will find this documentary fascinating and comprehensive. The details, maps, photos, explanations and history are scholarly and impressive. This is like walking where Jesus walked. Anyone who loves Jesus and wishes to see the lands where he lived should see this video. This is the most comprehensive documentary about Jesus' life that I have ever seen. I appreciate the thousands of hours the author/creator of this video has put into making it. This video shows what the land and artifacts look like today. The video is about 90 minutes long. You may want to watch it in segments, because it is so full of information. It would be an excellent source of information for Bible scholars and students. I highly recommend it.

Amazing photography, giving an informative and beautiful presentation of current day Israel and surrounding countries, with an intelligently presented script. Even the time-lapse photography lends itself symbolically to the passage of 2000 years in geography, and people, maintaining the truths withstanding from that long-ago time. Seeing the routes and stops taken during our Creator's time on earth as well as his Apostles, brought out how MUCH traveling these men and women did to teach their fellows about the spiritual journey known as the Kingdom of Heaven. How many of us today would make a similar effort to teach how a sincere faith in a unseen, loving Father is all that is needed to accompany our manifold relationships through time. Beautifully chosen nature scenes and people to represent the message of eternal hope and the on-going celestial adventure.

Using historical references this film transports us to the exact vistas and towns that the Master experienced as he walked these lands. Set in context from the melting of the last glaciers to the fires of the Melchizedek teachings of the one God, we witness the revelation of the Master in the places where he taught. There is a clear distinction made between the religion about Jesus (his death and resurrection) with his inspiring teaching that we are children of a loving God with a destiny of eternity, and that the price of entry into this kingdom of cosmic citizenship is faith. Respectful and thorough scientific thought and archaeological research are the basis for this film which thankfully locks in these visions for all future generations before they are further eroded by time and people. But when these scenes are coupled with such enlightened lost concepts of the last two thousand years, the result is life changing.

The movie is very well done - with good quality, inspiration and deep knowledge of the subject - The Urantia Book papers. I want to say thank you to David for his great contribution into the dissemination of the Book teachings. The film allowed me to take a new look at the story of Jesus as a man, which is told in the film on the background of modern Israel. I think the film has a meditative character. In the film, many beautiful species of historic places. David talks about the places where Jesus lived and taught, about the events that took place 2,000 years ago. David is very good in use of the knowledge gained from the Urantia Book. We need more of these films, which tell us about of the true nature of Jesus.

I found this to be an extremely beautiful, as well as informative, film. It was apparently quite well researched. It moves along with an excellent narrative. It is not preachy, which would have turned me off. It presents the historical context that Jesus lived in and gives hints at what his world looked like 2,000 years ago.

This is a beautiful piece of art which illustrates and makes an attempt to follow the steps of Jesus of Nazareth, while he lived in this world.Filmed in exotic places, it recounts many hidden and unknown episodes of the life of the Master. It is truly one of those videos that will uplift your mind and will make you ponder about the life of this remarkable God-man. Using very simple descriptions and anecdotes, Kantor is able to re-create that feeling of stepping behind the Master steps while uncovering fascinating facts about his existence. It will leave you with a exciting feeling about your own life.It is the kind of video you would like to share with your family, church members and public en general.

This historic documentary summary of the life of Jesus is a much needed infusion of real facts, true values and deep meanings about the life of this man among men. What is needed most in this world at this present time on mankind's journey into the future is a real understand of Jesus the man. This film is a powerful presentation of the real Jesus of Nazareth a man among men.

What men and women most need to know in the world today is that they are the sons and daughters of God. This film is a declaration of that very fact. For those who understand the importance of knowledge about our history and destiny this film delivers an accurate outline of the life of Jesus especially as it concerns his public life mission. It contains scenes, artworks, documentary knowledge far beyond anything placed on the records of past generations nor even in modern time films about the sojourns, mission objectives, and true nature of the man we all know as Jesus. The beautiful natural scenes are captivating as the narration utilizes this natural beauty to focus the mind on the many never before revealed facts of the life of Jesus. His journey's , his plans, his life mission. Truly a new image of the man among men and greater than any other this world has brought forth.
