Brian Desmond Hurst's great nephew Allan Esler Smith is the narrator and is the only spoken person on this short documentary about the film director's life. Too bad, more people didn't know Hurst's contributions to film such as the classic adaptation of the film, "Scrooge," starring an all star cast especially the great Alastair Sim in the title role in perhaps one of the most unforgettable screen performances and definitely one of the finest Scrooges on screen. The documentary is low budget but it's especially worthy to see his nephew who is in charge of his estate as he displays memorabilia of the director's life from Hollywood to London. Hurst is one of the four directors with a blue plaque and he lived to be 91 years old. Every year around this time, his classic film, "Scrooge," is shown around the world. It was only a part of his legacy to the film industry but perhaps his most famous and that is worth it in watching for itself. While there are no interviews with other surviving members.
