Short summary
Steve Allen began shooting the film The Benny Goodman Story in Hollywood California. He moved the Tonight show to the NBC Studios at Sunset and Vine for two weeks beginning October 4th. Allen continued to host the night time program while starring in the motion picture during the day. He took his first vacation following and Ernie Kovacs was guest host for two weeks from New York.
