On November 15, 2005, Warner Home Video released the complete series on DVD R1. a R2 DVD was later released on January 31, 2011. a R4 DVD was later released on September 6, 2011.

Yogi Bear's popularity led to many spinoff incarnations, feature movies and specials that starred the character.
Snagglepuss's voice was loosely based on character actor Bert Lahr. When the character was subsequently used in a cereal commercial, Lahr requested that a disclaimer be added so people wouldn't think he was involved in the commercial. As a result of this, Daws Butler became the only voice actor to ever receive on-screen credit for a commercial.
