Short summary
Lord Tarlton, a spiritualist, attempts to speak to the dead while in the tower of his manor but suddenly dies. A posthumous letter is sent to Sherlock Holmes from Tarlton asking Holmes to investigate his death. Holmes responds to Tarlton Manor and found to be in terrible danger. A classic reading of the will scene is featured as well as a séance led by Holmes.
