» » S.A. Sanctuary: Point of Failure (2002)

Short summary

This show is around 30 minutes, which is about 15 minutes short of a typical S.A. Sanctuary live set. Despite the smoke from electrical problems, the show was only cut short because the clubs P.A. sound system kept turning off during songs, which irritated the band.

During this concert, there was no "smoke machine". All smoke seen during this performance is from overheating wires and main electrical panel. The noxious smoke forced several attendees to leave, which can be seen in some parts of the video. The smoke was not a factor as to why the band cut the show short. During one point in the show, you can hear someone yell "Way to go, blow another breaker!".

The last song of an S.A. Sanctuary set during this time period (2002) was "The Kill" (later re-named "Society of Hate"). It is an up-tempo instrumental around 4 minutes long that was their fastest and heaviest song at the time. This particular show was ended early with the song "Sacrificial Lamb", due to the venue's sound system and electrical problems. There were about 3 other songs slated to be played that night if all went well. Right before the filming stops, you can hear Velasquez start to play the opening intro of "The Kill", but stops a few seconds later then the video ends.
