For nearly twenty years Martin Hill has fashioned art from the mountains, valleys, rivers and lakes in New Zealand's South Island. Using materials found on site he builds fleeting sculptures which endure only in photographic form. In 2011 Hill set about creating a series of works to be exhibited in the Spring at his first ever solo exhibition. A Delicate Canvas recounts his journey in vivid detail and paints an honest portrait of a man, his art and his fragile medium.
