There was stories in the media of how Rajesh Khanna would make Dharmendra wait endlessly on the sets. Then when Khanna would arrive he would excuse himself to meet visitors. One day Khanna did this and went to his makeup room. Dharmendra got mad and followed him . By the time Khanna had arrived at his make up room, a friend of Khanna had already warned him of a angry Dharmendra on his way. Rajesh Khanna quickly took off and left the studio before Dharamendra could make it to Khanna's make up room.

After Rajput Dharmendra and Rajesh Khanna had worked together in this movie and this was their last movie together and both of them and Asha Parekh, had important roles in this movie

Jaya Pradha's voice is dubbed by a dubbing artiste.

It was said that Rajesh Khanna was to play the father role only, the son role was to be played by another actor. But after success of Souten, the makers decided Rajesh Khanna should play dual role in the movie father and son.

Raam- Laxman had composed music for Humse Badkar Kaun & Bezubaan. The same producer made this movie and had signed Raam-Laxman for Dharam Air Qanoon. But later Raam-Laxman left the project and then Kalyanji-Anandji composed the music for the film. Later in 1990s Ram-Laxman composed music for 100 Days & Muskaharat for the same producer.

At that time Rajesh Khanna and Jaya Prada was hit pair and were working together in many movies.

It was reported that during shooting Rajesh Khanna would give dates for the father role which he was doing in the movie. But he was not giving dates for the son role, with difficulty he gave.

Producer Pranlal Mehta had introduced the top south director Bapu to hindi movies with Bezubaan. In Dharam Aur Qanoon, he had introduced another south director to Hindi movies and the director was Joshi.

After a long time Asha Parekh acted with Dharmendra and Rajesh Khanna and she acted with them probably for the last time.

Dharm & Qanoon features 2 mega stars - Rajesh Khanna & Dharmendra, with Vinod Mehra, Jayapradha, Danny, Asha parekh etc., Rajesh has a double role of father & son while Dharam plays his friend. The story line is quite good & the tight screenplay keeps the viewer interested.

Rajesh get to do some action scenes here & is good. Dharam is as usual in his elements in the action sequences. But it is the scenes between the elderly Rajesh & Dharam that move the audience. They are a treat to fans of both the stars.

The director has cleverly balanced the roles of the 2 mega stars & kept the fans happy.

Music by Kalyanji anandji is average.

    The climax is heart wrenching.

The film was a success at the box office & also made in tamil with sivaji ganesan in the lead.
