The eleven year-old Timothy will do everything it takes to stop growing so he won't be taken away to work in the mines. He meets a very old witch who can help him be a child for all eternity, but he will have to offer her something in exchange.

Because there was a summer break in between shooting days Jack Davies who plays the part of Timothy had actually grown taller.

The goat in the film was borrowed from a nearby farm and was brought to set in the back of a production van.

Parts of the film were shot in the south of Belgium near the border of France.

The part of Maura was originally played by a different actress but when the footage was viewed the film decided to go in a different, less traditional, path and casted Teresa.
