"Surban Kahndeep" was having trouble remembering his lines, so if you notice him staring at Pak Daddy's turban throughout the course of the movie, its because they were placing cards on it (out of the camera angle's view) so that Surban could read his lines.

When the antagonist and protagonist of the movie have a curry-eating competition, the two actors really did eat curry on the set that day.

The title of the movie all throughout pre-production was "Abulah Scared" however in post-production, after filming had wrapped, the producers changed the name to "Bollywood" because a rival studio had made a movie known as "Run Abdulah" which was released another movie was only two weeks prior to this film's release. The cast and crew blamed the lack of box office performance on the last minute change in name.

The idea of the president of Pakistan having a bullet-proof turban was inspired by a true story - a diplomat who wore a bullet-proof turban had made the papers in Pakistan after an assassination attempt which, of course, he survived.

The movie was completely uninspired and unoriginal. There are captivating parts, but they are few and far between. The acting was mediocre, except for the two main characters, whose names escape me at the moment. The best scenes are when Abulah (sp?) confronts Pak Daddy and cleaves him in the chest for tearing the veil off of his wife and having her stoned to death (martyred). For those who don't know, in India, when a woman removes her veil in public, she is considered a slut, and is stoned to death, that is a fact. Another great scene is when Vihishnu sends a kamikaze attacker after Abulah, disguising himself as a delivery boy for "Curry in a Hurry," and he has a bomb strapped to his chest. Without spoiling the scene any further, the way Abulah gets away alive is hilarious. Skip ahead: The ending is funny, when Abulah comes to Canada to escape the wrath of Vihishnu, and changes his name to Abdula to throw Vihishnu off his trail. It wasn't a bad movie, but it could have been better. It is worth seeing for sure. It had fun elements to it, but some of the movie was very weak, with the good parts not quite making up for it. 3/5 stars.
