Jack is suckered into taking a little puppy off the hands of his friend Larry. Unfortunately, this breaks Roper's rules of "no pets or children." Jack must then find a way to hide the pup until he can find someone else to take care of it. In the meantime, Chrissy begins sleepwalking. Plus, Mrs. Roper's birthday is coming up and Stanley must find a present for her.

This is Richard Kline's first appearance as Larry. However, he wouldn't become a regular character until the third season.
