Short summary
The Christmas Day terror plot - an evil act to murder Australians on one of the most sacred days. A terrorist bomb plan targeting landmarks in Melbourne's CBD has been foiled by an undercover police operation days before it was due to be carried out. Seven people have been arrested, with three charged - Abdullah Chaarani, Hamza Abbas, and Ahmed Mohamed. Most of the accused have Lebanese backgrounds and were self-radicalized by Islamic State.
