The concept of having an elderly man telling the story of "The Mischievous Little Monkey" was borrowed from a "Space Ghost Coast to Coast" episode.

Actor Don Singalewitch agreed to take the part of "Uncle Donny" at a script reading for "Brobot" (2005).

The story that Uncle Donny reads is actually much longer. Certain scenes needed to be removed due to pacing issues. The deleted scenes will be made available on the website as well as the special edition DVD.

Due to some technical problems with the animation, a mysterious "flying monkey" would randomly appear on screen while the monkey was walking through the jungle. These frames were re-rendered for the final production.
