Telling Phoebe he has been in America working on a musical, he learns that her father was killed in an air-raid and that she's now the Royal Oak landlady. He deposits the money in a bank straight out of 'Dad's Army' but when, in the present, he and Ron return, they find that the money was invested in a firm which went bust in 1957.
