A priest named Story recounts his encounter with Ray Harker after Ray has terrorized and played tricks on Story's mind for his own amusement while the two are trying to make a film with an unseen directer willing to kill in order to increase publicity for his movie. Story becomes more and more deranged and the bodies start to pile up as the police think he is to blame for the recent murders that have been happening. As the directer and Ray become more daring, Story is driven deeper and deeper into madness before the final showdown between the three is a surreal environment with only the camera to watch the carnage.
