The content of this program is the highest quality instruction out there. The teacher is very clear, informative, and easy to understand. Unlike many Qigong programs, this one has both an explanation of each of the movements with detailed Qigong theory, and an easy- to-follow demonstration. The teacher demonstrates each movement, and offers suggestions for how beginners can do the movement even if you are not at all flexible enough, and how you can slowly work toward getting to the correct posture. This is simple Qigong for beginners, but it has profound health benefits. This 'set' of Qigong exercises is 1,000 years old and is the most well-known of all the ancient Qigong. In Chinese, it is known as the Ba Duan Jin, or Eight Brocades. A brocade is a beautiful piece of fine silk clothing - the idea being that, by practicing this exercises, you will make your body as refined and beautiful as if it were covered in Brocade.

The DVD navigation is second to none. Every single technique has a chapter marker so you may click through to wherever you want to be. Also, there are several pages of navigation menus, so you can get anywhere in the 2 hour program with just a couple clicks on the remote, making this an exceptionally practical learning tool. I cannot recommend this program enough.

Chinese definition: Qi Gong (pronounced Chi Kung) means 'Energy Work' - more specifically, it means "Human Bioelectricity-work which takes time and effort to achieve."

Don't delay - begin your Qigong practice with this DVD.
