Standing up to Big Oil is a daunting task and one that can get the best of any of us. Winona LaDuke has been standing strong for over three decades and this film is certain to provide a spark of inspiration to all activists out there who might need some motivation when times are tough. First Daughter and the Black Snake is not just a film for activists though. It is an important film for all of us who care about our Earth, humans, and our fellow animal species that we share our home with. Winona and this film by filmmaker Keri Pickett are proof that it is worth standing for what is right. -Rob Greenfield

The film brings us in to a personal glimpse of a Native woman, Winona LaDuke, her mission to fight for future generations by bringing awareness of the greed of big oil companies at the expense of our environment. Miigwetch Winona for your efforts. *There is humour involved in a scene with her mother.
