Short summary

Pat Hingle (Col. Tucker) actually fought in the Korean War. After first serving on the destroyer USS Marshall during World War II, he later returned to the military during the Korean War as a boilerman technician in the Navy.

The title is based on April Fools' Day or All Fools' Day which is celebrated on April 1 and is marked by the commission of hoaxes and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on friends, family members, enemies, and neighbors.

This will always remain my favorite episode of MASH. For those that have never seen it, I will not do anything to spoil it. Suffice it to say that I was totally taken in by it and I still enjoy seeing it every year or so. It's around April 1 and the children are restless. They begin to play juvenile tricks on one another. Potter becomes concerned because a take- no-prisoners Colonel is coming to camp. He is known as the ultimate butt kicker and for having no sense of humor. He also can hold the future of surgical teams in his hands. The gang gets into a pillow fight after Margaret's tent has been stolen, and who should show up just at that time but this Colonel. He immediately has it in for everyone and has no respect for their actions in the operating room. This episode is intricately crafted and delivers the goods. Love it.

One of my favorite episodes. However, when I purchased this season on Amazon Prime, this episode is not available. Why is this the case?

I love being able to see the episode as filmed and Amazon usually allows me to do that, but we can't purchase it. Why?
