Spanning four episodes of approximately 45 minutes each, The Senapatis Vol-1 is the first installment of a highly ambitious web series currently streaming on the Bengali web channel Addatimes. Written and directed by Riingo Banerjee, the series is a dramatic take on the real life events that defined the turbulent political climate of Bengal, India from 1971 to 1984. The series primarily focuses on the trajectory of a refugee family from erstwhile East Pakistan who migrates to Kolkata, India and subsequently, rises from the ashes to become the fearsome Senapatis - the first gang-lords of Bengal.
