Short summary

Hey Vern! Your ol' buddy Ernest is back in a new video that features Commercials, Bloopers, Behind-the-Scenes looks, and special surprises! Ernest sells things like ice cream, soft drinks, dairy products, even beer! He also has public service announcements on drunk driving and more. It also shows how Ernest commercials are made, and with the bloopers, how they're attempted to be made. It also features many of Ernest's long lived routines: the window slamming on his hands, falling off a ladder, trying to fix the TV and getting electrocuted, him propping the window with an Acme window stop, removing it and the window falls on him again, Ernest starting to fall off the ladder but tosses an anchor onto the roof, Vern cuts the rope and Ernest goes sailing to the ground.

In 1987, there was a contest to count how many times the words "Vern" and "KnoWhutIMean?" were spoken and written. Here are the answers: Vern is spoken 311 times. Vern is written 10 times. KnoWhutIMean? is spoken 75 times. KnoWhutIMean? is written 10 times. "Hey, Fern" is said once and written once.

This video special had a DVD release twice. Its first time was on October 31, 2006 as part of Mill Creek Entertainment's "Ultimate Ernest" and "Essential Ernest Collection" box sets. The second time was on June 5, 2012 as part of Image Entertainment's "Ernest's Wacky Adventures Volume 1" along with Ernest geht zum Militär (1998), Die Chaos-Kanone (1993), and The Ernest Film Festival (1986).

I don't know about you, but I grew up watching Ernest, and I absolutely loved watching him. Some of these commercials are funny, and others are just normal, but it's great to see a little more Ernest. Some of Jim Varney's Ernest commercials are on the dvds of his movies, so if you want to check them out, you can check them out there.
