» » Father Murphy The First Miracle: Part 1 (1981–1983)

Short summary

A local man and a friend of Murphy has a daughter he cannot control. At his wits end, Emmas father brings her to Gold Hill. She proves to be a bad influence on the Gold Hill kids, but trouble really comes when Emma falls in love with Murphy. She figures that if she gets Gold Hill closed down, Murphy will have to go off with her, so she tells Rodman of Murphy's secret. This creates a crisis and it looks like Rodman will finally have his way and have the kids transfered to the Claymore work camp. Meanwhile Fr. Parker continues to be blocked by Garrett in purchasing a building for a church.

Watch as Emma leaves Murphy at the Blacksmith's shed, and runs off to school, you can see she accidentally knocks the hammer off the anvil as she runs by.

As Murphy leaves the General Store and the storekeeper warns of people asking about him, check out the two horses behind Muphy. One has its tail sticking up frozen.

After Murphy proposes and the kids are gathered around cheering, watch the little blond boy (the one who always runs to the bathroom) - he puts his head down and hands over his head like he is going to be hit.

Ephram ALWAYS had his hair parted down the middle. The one exception was in this episode when he screams "She said YES!!" He looks totally different.
