Nowadays what used to be channels devoted to history, biology or other academia related subjects seem to have turned into a reality show parade, fixing cars, restoring , selling or buying antiques for money. In this sense this is quite a refreshing change in that regard, still talking about god and having Morgan Freeman as host definitely seems like a huge marketing strategy, albeit one I personally enjoyed and definitely helped make this documentaries more relevant.

The topic in this episode is what lies beyond death and it does a good job illustrating what different religions and points of view throughout history and the world think. The filming is fantastically done, this has been by far one of the most visually appealing documentaries I have seen lately, Morgan Freeman offers as always great acting and some comedic comments.

Still there is a lack of something beyond just exposing different views, perhaps a kind of debating? In parts the documentary also seemed way too rehearsed, you can almost realize that things took several takes to get right not to mention the weird camera cuts.

Nonetheless this is a pretty good documentary to kill some time and it's definitely informative and innovative, I hope NatGeo keeps on with this kind of productions rather than jump into the reality show bandwagon. Very recommended.

This was a great episode traveling through different beliefs about the death and after life around the world letting the mind to re-think and revise our beliefs .

But also as a Muslim, I still believe in rise and judgment, I don't believe in the absolute ends, we aren't all equal and the death without rise puts all the people in non justice equality which gives the same end after different actions.

But for the episode and whole series Morgan made it so magical to know about how other civilizations think about some of the most thrilling subjects through thousands of years.
