Short summary

The task force chases an artful bounty hunter employed to target Red's closest associates. Meanwhile, Ressler faces a moral dilemma while taking on a new assignment with a former colleague.

Mr. Kaplan (Susan Blommaert) quoted Mark Twain when she said. "The reports were greatly exaggerated."

Gale (Enrique Murciano) says there are 86 bodies at the ice rink.

The actor playing Red's (James Spader) chief of security Baz, Baz, also happens to be a former CIA officer and veteran US Marine who founded an NGO which rescues kidnapped children in the sex slave trade.

Joe Peracchio (Frederick Weller) only appears in the opening scene of this episode, in which he is killed by Philomena (Susan Misner). In В поле зрения (2011) the same actor appears in a similar opening scene of the episode "Panopticon" in which his character is killed by Martine Rousseau (Cara Buono).

The last several episodes of The Blacklist have finally showcased Susan Blommaert as the character of "Mr. Kaplan." I say kudos to the producers and writers for teaming up to create the most interesting backstory ever on The Blacklist. I've long wondered about this character and finally something that far too many TV series avoid: ANSWERS! Thank you.

SPOILERS NOW: It seems a bit last minute but perhaps The Blacklist saved the best for last. They decisively divulge that Katarina Rostova had hired (years ago) the prior incarnation of Mr Kaplan to be the incredibly capable nanny for her baby, who then grows up to be Elizabeth Keene. Furthermore, Raymond's compulsion derive from that Katarina really did never tell him if he was Liz's father. And now we see the reason why Kaplan is more devoted to Liz than to Raymond. The whole story comes together at last with these episodes and promises to come to the most exciting conclusions in episodic TV history.

Before these episodes, many had been growing a bit weary with the criminal du jour formula of The Blacklist. But these episodes are the most intricately told and capably acted yet. They are the Big Reveal and the big payoff for being a fan of the series. They show who everyone really is in this intrigue. My only regret is the audience hadn't previously been delighted with the true talent of Susan Blommaert. So tune in for a genuine entertainment treat.

Good episode, but I find it a little off track, with Mr. Kaplan, being Reddington's new enemy. It works well but getting back to focusing on the Blacklist is what drives the show. The blacklist person they did use in the show, Phililomena, was support for Mr. Kaplan. The one thing about the show that irritated me, was the writer of the show, slipping in a subliminal propaganda message for gun control, that TV shows do from time to time. The character, Navabi,is being questioned,by a higher up, and talked about Islamaphobia, stating,"last year more than 180,000 Americans were killed by"gun violence , and only 94 by terrorists." Hollywood writers subliminally put this propaganda garbage in TV shows all the time, hoping they can influence a sleeping, ignorant viewer.Yes, this is a Hollywood fantasy TV, show, but the biased spoken line by the writer is real, by using the code words "gun violence". The truth is about 33,000 people died by the use of a firearm, in the last year available, 2013. Two thirds of that number were suicides, and only one-third were homicides. Many of those were justifiable homicides. (Self defense related) These statistics are on the Uniform Crime Report .Be aware.

Where has she been? I missed her. She has been such an integral part of the series. Why the void? Was it intentional with the writers? Was there a medical issue? Please let me know. I'm intrigued. Thanks to any Sherlock out there. At least point me in the right direction. I'm happy she's back. A very well played character. Thanks.
