This experimental short provides a non-narrative description of my lifelong attempt at bridging the cultural gap between my first generation roots in the United States and my parents' and extended family's history in India. The video is a stop-motion piece; the first part features photography and audio from a recent trip to India. The second half of the piece is a 'stop-motion painting' that uses imagery from the photographs. The more abstracted use of these photographs establishes the presence of a frustration that stems from my inability to reconcile my cultural roots with my American identity.
