Short summary
When Satoshi reaches the Tamamushi Gym, he is kicked out because of his hatred for perfume, so with the help of the Rocket-Dan (who plotted to steal Erika's special perfume), Satoshi sneaks into the gym disguised as a girl. In the gym, his disguise is ruined by Kasumi, Takeshi, and Pikachu, but the Gym Leader, Erika grants him a battle.
This episode reinforces the idea that Team Rocket are aware that they are in a TV show, when Meowth says the 'cartoonists never gave [him] a nose.'
Generally the Rainbow Badge is earned before the Marsh Badge, not after.
Ash cross dresses to infiltrate the gym.
