The Meat truck robbery was originally part of the Season 2 Christmas Special in the UK series, but most of the story elements where dropped leaving it as an odd bit in this episode. The meat was originally on its way to be analysed as part of a military game which lead to the quarantine or "Chatsworth council estate" of the neighbourhood the Gallaghers lived in the UK series.
