When McGregor meets financial adviser Charles Emerson, he steps into a world of shortcuts and fast money. It's in this world that McGregor begins to leave his disciplined, conservative lifestyle for the quick buck. Emerson goes for the big score, an insider trading tip that's a sure thing and on his advisement, McGregor goes 'all-in' with his life savings. Soon after, Emerson is nowhere to be found, and McGregor becomes aware that he has been conned. Meanwhile, McGregor's demeanor is surly due to the stress of losing everything as all of this has taken place without his wife's consent.
