Granville has set up his own Santa's grotto but Dexter is happy to dress up as an elf as he is disguising himself to escape the hulking boyfriend of his latest admirer whilst Mrs Featherstone is also in pursuit - of timid Mr Newbold, largely to make Granville jealous. As Eric's wife Cath attempts to rehearse her choir for the local carol contest the once debonair Cliff Bridges reappears, anxious to get back with his wife Elsie.
