The world's largest skyscraper "Thompson Tower" is opened amid great fan fare and excitement. Two miles high and containing 12 hotels, it has space for 10,000 cars. A fire breaking out in the basement of the building quickly turns into a major disaster and International Rescue a called begin trying to save the people trapped in the building

This is the only episode in which the Mole and Firefly are both used in a rescue operation.

When the cars are travelling to the Tower on the freeway, a rear projection film clip is used of the M1 Motorway in England in reverse to simulate driving on the right hand side of the road in the U.S. The film clearly shows this Motorway as it was in the early 1960's with no tarmac on the hard shoulder and no crash barriers in the central reservation. Similar film clips of the M1 are used in other episodes as rear projection, for example when Lady Penelope and Brains are travelling to the Arlington Bridge in Day Of Disaster.
