» » The Drew Carey Show Passion of the Wick (1995–2004)

Short summary

Drew is fired from Neverending Store and has a plan to re-open Winfred-Lauder but needs a backer. He contacts former boss Nigel Wick whose father-in-law owns the Christian TV network and real estate. They make a deal but what will it cost?

Drew's joke about not calling after sundown on the day after the Thursday board meeting is a reference to the Biblical sabbath which begins at sunset on the sixth day of the week, commonly known as Friday. Christians observe Sunday as the Lord's Day in remembrance of Christ's resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Title of this episode is based on the Passion of the Christ.

Wick's running gag of firing workers named Johnson is done in this 2nd to the last episode.
