In a world with so many stories we, Nathalie el-Jorr, Anna Myung-Sook Kim and Karoline Schwikal, betook ourselves to a country, nestled between the improbable borders of Syria and Israel, to show the lives of young people caught up by the tide of its development. In view of our final project we decided on a creative cinematic piece of work, that ought to be challenging and influential at the same time.As for Nathalie it meant going back home as much as a critical examination of the past and predominantly present media coverage of her homeland. We all know how the press manipulates the course of life events through selective and exaggerated reporting of facts. As director of rewind & replay she is taking the opportunity to reveal something that people forgot and that the media has turned a blind eye to.
