Three young men attempt to comprehend the untimely death of their best friend. In their grief, the men discover their friend may have died under suspicious circumstances. Their efforts to mourn him and reveal the truth about his death lead them down a dark and vengeful path.

The original script called for Joey and Jonah to be wrestling in the surf rather than on the beach but several of the cast members were sick the day the scene was shot. As a result the location of the scene had to be shifted slightly.

The sex club scene takes place at two separate locations. The first is in a downtown warehouse in SE Portland, the second in a run-down barn in a rural suburb of Portland. The interior was constructed and built on-site for the filming of the movie.
