Short summary
Brad helps Tim with rebuilding the hotrod and they have a disagreement about the work. Brad also gets a haircut that causes disagreements. Randy gets the lead in Romeo and Juliet play at school. Jill offers to help with rehearsals.
In which Randy is auditioning for Romeo and Juliet, Jill refers to having been the best Juliet at her high school, Hockaday. This, in fact, is the high school that Patricia Richardson attended. It is a prestigious girls' school in Dallas, Texas.
The title is a reference to an old saying, from around 1900: Shave and a haircut, two bits. This seven note lyric was used at the end several songs, and was featured in several cartoons in the 1930's and 40's.
